ABOUT THE PLAY
The cast in the upcoming play "Rumors" has a lot of show business gigs on their resumes.The show stars veteran singer and television actress, Telma Hopkins; "Family Matters" star Darius McCrary; singer and original Destiny's Child member LeToya Luckett; comedians George Wilborn and Gary Owens and former "America's Next Top Model" contestant Lisa D'Amato.
The story follows a man named Marcus who is the first in his family to attend medical school and has everything going for him. His overprotective mother wants to rescue him from his estranged girlfriend, and the rumors start when the ex-girlfriend claims she's pregnant with Marcus' child. His childhood sweetheart enters the picture and there's a secret between Marcus' best friend and his ex-girlfriend.
