Naomi Campbell has been hospitalized in Sao Paulo and is being treated by one of Brazil's top specialists in infectious disease, the hospital's press office said Tuesday.

A publicist for the 37-year-old British supermodel confirmed Campbell was treated at a hospital and had a small cyst removed. There were no other details.

"Naomi Campbell was admitted to hospital ... to have a small cyst removed," her publicist, Jeff Raymond, said in a statement. "Following the successful procedure, she is now resting and is looking forward to getting back to work. She would like to thank the doctors who have kindly looked after her."

Campbell, a frequent visitor to Brazil, celebrated Carnival earlier this month in the northeastern city of Salvador. She was hospitalized Sunday in Sao Paulo's Sirio Libanes Hospital.

She is under the care of David Uip, a specialist in infectious diseases, and gynecologist Jose Aristodemo Pinotti, the hospital said in a statement.

"The patient and her advisers have determined that the hospital's medical staff will not issue any formal or informal information on her medical condition," the hospital statement said. [source]

Nicole Murphy spoke to People recently about her relationship with New York Giants football player Michael Strahan. Here's the sugary, sweet stuff.

When I got divorced, I said never again," Nicole Murphy told PEOPLE at a Feb. 16 south Florida fundraiser for the John T. Petters Foundation, a charity that provides scholarships for students to travel abroad. "But some time has passed since Eddie and I split, and I know now what I want in a man: communication and shared interests. 15 Year Old At The Center of Violent Love Triangle

A love triangle turns violent. Two twenty-something women fighting over the same guy. One pulls out a gun and starts shooting. But in this case the guy the women were fighting over is barely old enough to get a driver's permit.

The shooting happened the day after Valentine's Day at the Cypress Garden Apartments.

"We're starting to get cases on women just like anything else," said Lt. Nathan Berryman with the Memphis Police Dept. "It's not male exclusive crime anymore."

Police say 20-year-old Cherry Wright tried to kill her boyfriend's ex during a drive-by shooting. According to the report, she rolled up to 23-year-old Lakeviette Smith's apartment, pointed a gun out the window and started firing at her.

The guy they're fighting over was behind the wheel. He's only 15 years old.

"He could be 15, he could be 20. You have conflict between people that doesn't de-escalate. It just keeps going and going," said Lt. Berryman.

And it doesn't end there. Fortunately Smith wasn't hit, but police say with all the gunfire Wright accidentally shot her teenage boyfriend in the neck.

He's charged with helping her gun down his ex, who also happens to be pregnant with his child. [source]

After the resignation of Kelly's longtime publicist, Regina Daniels, her husband, music retailer George Daniels, speaks out about Kells' inappropriate relationship with their daughter.

"He crossed the line with my daughter," Daniels told local Los Angeles radio station KJLH. "It didn't get to the extreme of that [sex tape] video or else I wouldn't be here, if you know what I'm talking about."

In November, Regina Daniels released a press release indicating that Kelly "crossed a line that forever altered the scope of our relationship." Now, George Daniels tells KJLH that Kells took advantage of his then 21-year-old daughter.

"When you're 21, and if you've been there already like I've been many years ago, you're still 15 to 16 mentally," Daniels added. "You're vulnerable."

Daniels and his wife ultimately got the truth from their daughter after much hearsay and speculation, but when Daniels questioned Kelly on the issue, he got a different story.

"He denied it," Daniels said. "He lied to me to my face."

Despite the private nature of the issue, Daniels said he has decided to speak out for the sake of other families.

"The reason that I'm talking abut this, it's not just for me, it's not for my wife, it's not for my daughter, but it's for the public," Daniels said. "It's for other fathers and mothers, because it doesn't have to be a superstar, it could be the dude on the corner. There are guys who sit around and give your child a couple of bucks to go to school and then wait until they get a little older, then they set that trap. See, so I'm doing this really for everyone." We hear from a source within the "Girlfriends" writing camp that the CW has decided to cancel the series immediately instead of bringing it back for a ninth season.

While no official announcement had been made as of press time, we were told the CW will not even film this season's remaining nine episodes that were suspended during the writer's strike.

Ironically, news of the show's cancellation comes just as the strike has ended and the writing staff was preparing to return to work. We were informed by one of the writers yesterday that Monday night's one-hour block of new episodes served as the show's last.

"Girlfriends" became the longest-running live-action comedy series currently on network television with the debut of its current season in October 2007. The writers strike suspended production after only 13 of 22 ordered episodes were completed. [source]

Sandra Rose had the opportunity to speak with Keyshia Cole and Young Jeezy earlier this week about the rumors surrounding their relationship. I wonder if he helps her grease her scalp while sippin' on yak [copyright Plies].

Both Keyshia and Jeezy denied any knowledge of the other woman who claims to be Jeezy’s longtime girlfriend. “Me and Jay spend everyday together except when we’re on the road,” said Keyshia.

Jeezy denied saying he and Keyshia were not together anymore. “We’re not tripping,” said Jeezy, “but when we hear things like that, it’s just crazy. Why would I have a conversation about anything personal with a random person in the club?”

Keyshia added, “I would like for you to let [your readers] know that that was false information. That was never said. We are keeping our business our business. It is what it is. When we’re seen they know what it is. At the end of the day, we’re just focused on our careers right now but at the same time, I’m not saying I’m not with him and he’s not saying he’s not with me. So he didn’t say that.”

That's nice and all but I am still more focused on Frankie finding a real man. A fresh pair of dentures always equal a new outlook on love. Or so I've been told.

If you are an employee at the 40/40 Club in Las Vegas you may be better off working in the Knowles' Family Wig Crypt. Las Vegas Weekly reports that an estimated 100 or more staff members of the club have been reportedly escorted off of the property or have voluntarily resigned from their posts.

The firings allegedly started before the club even opened its doors, with a manager being dismissed because of questionable operating procedures. Of the original 10 managers hired at the club, only two are still employed.

Staff members complained that the first time they had a chance to work with the cash-register system at the club was only an hour before the doors opened. Bartenders, cocktail servers and managers also complained of a "no comp" policy that required them to pay for spills and breakage. [source]

That's messed up. I don't know how they expect for Rell and T.Error Mari to pay for all the drinks that they spill.

Paper magazine blogger Fabian Basabe claimed on his blog Wednesday that Tyra Banks "messed herself" during New York City Fashion Week.

Basabe was filming an interview in the W suite at the tents when all of the sudden a crew barged in and kicked him out because Tyra needed to change her clothes.

"...I arranged to do it backstage at the tents in the w suite. Just when I start getting comfortable and ready, a group of madmen and madwomen storm in and take possession of the suite because... ready?... Tyra Banks messed herself and needed to change. Now, let's break this down: messing oneself should not happen if you are older that 5 or younger than 90. if it happens and in fact you are older than 5 or younger than 90, then it should be one, single, very unfortunate episode which will bound you to be made fun of forever and you can't complain about it. Now I would like to bring to your attention that Tyra's people carried a change of clothes for her at NYC fashion week. Hmmmh... could it be that Tyra messed herself before? or just that her entourage is so organized that in case Tyra would ever, maybe, possibly mess herself that one time, they have a change of clothes? I don't know..."

Aww shucks, look at what we have here. A match made in remedial heaven! Young Dro and Fantasia were spotted bagging up plenty of swag at the Grammy style studio earlier today. I guess those relationship rumors may just hold an ounce of truth.

I hope they do an Essence cover story together. I'm trippin', this love affair has Sister 2 Sister written all over it.

I'm not trying to put any pressure on these two but when is the wedding? Forget a toaster, I saw a dope see n' say at K-Mart last week that would make for the perfect newlywed gift.

ReRe the Body is feeling great these days thanks to a more lifestyle change and a healthy diet. Catfish Wilkerson beating it down every night like two subwoofers in a trunk doesn't hurt either!

Franklin's busy schedule of late has motivated her to push for change in her life, including weight loss and the first album to be released on her own label, Aretha's Records.

"I've got a new trainer, and she's giving me a lot of good things, really educating me about nutrition and weight loss and how to do it, and cooking stuff for you," the 65-year-old singer said. "I'm not on a diet. It's a lifestyle change. I'm going to be doing it for the long run. And eventually I'll reach my goal."

Though she didn't say what that goal was, it was clear she was happy to cut out heavier foods, fat content and salt.

"I feel lighter. I'm not as heavy, what you get with the red meat," she told The Associated Press. "You dragging yourself along when you have all that red meat. Much lighter. I feel a lot lighter, and a lot better."

Franklin said she's "a very good cook" but noted she's been mixing up her meals with those from weight-loss program Jenny Craig. Still, Franklin said that for one meal a week, she eats whatever she wants, diverging from low-fat, low-sodium meals of turkey, chicken, fish, lobster and crab.

Before leaving for Los Angeles from her hometown of Detroit, "I had turkey wings and dressing, and that was wonderful. My nutritionist would not like that; my trainer, not at all," Franklin said, grinning. [continue reading]
